The Mill

Here is a picture of the mill on the Motor Trail above Gatlinburg in June of '09'.  This picture was shot early in the morning after lots of rain fell the day before.  Matt and I scoped this out the day it was raining.  I have another shot that looks just like this one.  You can decide which one you like the best.  We had to cross the stream just a little ways, but it was flowing so fast it would have been very easy to fall in.  We had to roll up our shorts (just a tad) and cross with our bags on our back and tripod in hand (we do have waterproof backpacks so don't try this with a regular pack or bag).  In this shot, I had to squat down on a rock, stabilize the tripod, and make sure I didn't slip off the rock into the water.  It was very uncomfortable, but I think it was worth it.  The focal length was 46mm, aperture at 8, ISO of 100, and shutter speed of 13sec.  Here is the other picture I took the day it was raining.

This one is unedited, straight off the camera.  I look forward to going back and shooting more scenes of the Smokies, very soon.

The Message is proclaimed

This was taken on June 14, '09'.  This Rainbow had formed right after two storms had passed through the Munford-Atoka area in TN.  There were actually two rainbows, the other being to the right of this one.  I didn't include that one because of the work it took to make this one decent enough to show, and I liked this one better.  There were many power-lines in the way, which I had to take out.  The focal length is 64mm, the aperture is 8, the shutter is 1/40sec, ISO is 100.  I also really liked the way the steeple was being lit up by the remaining sun light.  No, it is not a great picture, but it is one that reminds me that God keeps his promises.

A true Clunker

This picture was taken in June '09'.  Matt and I had been taking pictures along the motor trail up above Gatlinburg.  We have always seen this place but never stopped.  We had to fight off bugs the entire time I was taking pictures here (Matt was too lazy to get his camera out. ha). I used a tripod, the white balance is manual, the focal length is 16mm, f-stop is 8, shutter length was 2 seconds, and ISO is 100.  Minor brightness and contrasting was performed on the computer.  This is one of my favorite shots from this trip to Gatlinburg.  I will be posting more in the near future.

Price Photography blog

I will start a new blogging adventure. I've never done this before and am terrible about updating certain things. However, I am going to do my best to post photos I take on this site for everyone to see. If there is anything you would like to say about it, just say it (Be nice). I will also talk about how I took the picture along with the settings on the camera. If you have any suggestions as to what you might want to see just let me know.

If you would like to see pictures that I have already taken just click here.
